• On September of 2006 opened the doors to the First Support Group Meeting called The True Vine Group of Jesus Christ.

A Ministry that was organized to aid persons living in the Capital Region of the State of New York, that suffer from substance abuse.  We are a Christian Base Faith outreach ministry that offers Christ Centered one on one consultations, along with a 12 step biblical studies program to help them overcome their addictions spiritually. 

We believe that though the addiction is in part a great problem in the lives of the addict, the greater is the sinful nature of the addict.  As part of our addiction the sinful nature in us grew, in our behaviors we felt that the actions of lying, cheating, stealing, cursing, being
self-centered,conceded, manipulative and selfish was acceptable.  It is the sinful nature in us that wants to feed the flesh with a chemical relationship rather than a spiritual relationship with God.  And if the addict does NOT walk by faith, but walks by sight then these are the signs of being a slave to sin, and nothing comes from sin for the wages of sin is death.  

We here at the True Vine see that in most cases the addict that is in recovery are abstinent from there usage still carry the behaviors, the addict then when is in a stressful or a pre-recovery situation will bring them to relapse. 

    Romans 7: 21-25  "I have discovered this principle of life,that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.  I love God’s law with all my heart.  But there is another power* within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.  Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin." (NLT)

Well we don't have to be a slave to sin, nor a slave to drugs or alcoholism, we can be free of all of it.

    John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (KJV)
